Let it snow

As everyone know the weather has been crazy lately! So in the midst of this big storm we (we being Sam, myself, and the Nowlin crew) decided to go to Tahoe. After a 7 hour car ride, in n' out burger , and some dangerous driving we finally made it to the Williams cabin! Oh and it is so great there is nothing else to do here but relax. I am so excited about all the fluffy snow and being here with my sexy man it just makes it so magical. All the trees are covered and it will start snowing every now and then, so I try and get as many snow kisses as possible because they are cold and silly. We have had a very full day today... See right now I am in snowboard training. I am trying to catch up to all these already good people, and it isn't easy I have the broses and sore body to prove it. But it was so great just being out in the snow with everyone and having the fam help me and encourage me so much. My very patient husband is one amazing (not to mention sexy) teacher. And you know what I actually felt very confident today with my snowboarding skills. There has been about 5,maybe more, feet of snow in the past 2 days! So it Was really hard to get through (well for me the Noob sauce) but a new adventure and it was "fun" even if I almost cried a bunch of times. I never knew I would love snowboarding.

Baker

I am just loving baking right now. It's so therapeutic for me I really enjoy it. I have a possessed mixer that doesn't work very well so I have to mix everything by hand which is a bummer. It also makes some of my recipes come out bad, but I am experimenting. Today was Blueberry muffins, yesterday was molasses cookies, and tomorrow sugar cookies.

Embarrassment

After having our morning cuddle time I decided I really wanted to make hash browns. So naturally I just got out of bed without thinking about anything....Now I'm standing in the kitchen peeling potatoes in an over sized t-shirt. I sent Sam to take out the trash and when he returns he is not alone. Today happens to be Seth's birthday and they had planned to surf together. I hear his voice and freak out because I am standing there pealing potatoes in just an over sized t-shirt. I then have to tell Sam I'm not wearing pants and Seth is embarrassed, I'm hiding, and Sam is laughing at me.

One of the most embarrassing time of my life.

Sicky

This is the first time I have truly spent all my time with Sam while he is sick. I was really worried at first that I wouldn't be a good nurse....but I think that in most cases it's all about being with the person you love when you're sick. I really enjoyed serving Sam and taking care of him. This has also been a really good opportunity to just spend time with one another, it seems we are always saying, "we need more time in the day so we can cuddle all day." This might be bad but I loved all the sick time because we just cuddled, laid around lazily, watched movies, ate soup (even though he HATES soup!), watch every sunset, walked on the beach (very slowly), and did I already say cuddle? Oh yes, but it's my favorite part. Even though this is such a small thing it is a new thing to us and I now know that I love taking care of him and loving him.

snow bunny

It's been a while since we last updated this thing and I dare say we have a lot of stuff going on. I will most likely not blog about most of these things just because I don't tend to try and go over everything and I also tend to over do it when I do try.

We have been having so much fun lately (even with the lousy weather) This weekend me, Sam, and the whole Nowlin crew went up to kirkwood for a ski trip. It was brutal! Well at least for me... See I'm not what you would call a good snowboarder but I try to be and I am learning. I pretty much fell, a lot, and also learned a lot. Sam is so good to me he is the most patient and encouraging man. He would wait for me during all the runs and give me really good instruction, and even when I sucked he told me I did really good. I had so much fun with him! This was our first official snow trip as a married couple and we fully enjoyed it.
Another thing that was really interesting was doing this all with Sam's family. They were really encouraging as well and would yell things to me while they were on the ski lift (yes they are really FAST and I would be half way down the slope and they would already be on their way back up haha) I loved it and can't wait until we do it again next month!

Family.
